Welcome to Casa Corvo & Who we are
Casa Corvo is a set of 5 holiday apartments in the old town of Novaggio. Michela and Mike run the estate and live in the main buildiung itself all year round. Michela grew up in Ticino and after traveling the world came back to found Casa Corvo in 2016. Mike is originally from California, and after living almos 20 years in Costa Rica came to Ticino.
Mike is Private Chef and does catering, Michela is a yoga teacher. They are both passionate about what Malcantone has to offer and are happy to give you advice on how to enjoy your stay here.
Were we are
We are right in the middle of in the beutiful Malcantone Valley, in the little town of Novaggio. We are located in Ticino, the Southern tip of Switzerland. Casa Corvo is just across the boarder from Italy, the closest airbport is Milano Malpensa.
Our values
We run our estate based on following values
* Respect for environment, nature and humans – in line with the local community
We have solar panels, keep waste as little as possible, separate and recycle, manage our gardens withouth pesticides and leave the natural flowers and herbs grow. For our work, we have a car that we use very rarely (once per week approx), for the rest we use public trasportation. When we serve catered food, we use organic, local and seasonal products and avoid exotic and out of season products. We support the community of Malacantone by purchasing products directly in the farms around us (cheese, veggies, coffe roasted in Malcantone). We hire people living in our community and pay them over the avarage salaries.
* Acceptance of individuality and vulnerability
Our space allows our guests to unfold and take time to be themselves. Our rooms and spaces are simple and have little decoration to allow guests to just be. The way Casa Corvo and Casa Volpe are nested in nature allow our guests to slow down and unwind from a more fast paced and pre-set lifestyle. We offer a nourishing and welcoming environment.
* Space for introspection and self-inquiry
We focus on Yoga and Meditation retreats and welcome groups practicing yoga and meditation. Our Yoga Space (Shala) is only used for Yoga & Meditation and related practices. We do not use our space for other events that are not in line with our values.
